Tutorial 7 - AURs in Monster "Fata Morgana" (Advanced)
This tutorial shows how to enter a simple moster loop that uses an AUR to make eliminations.
On startup Xsudo will open the default puzzle file xsudon.sud. This file contains the tutorials and other interesting examples. The default file cannot be erased.
Open the Tutorial 7 Puzzle
· Go to the puzzle dropdown menu in the top toolbar row.
· Click the right tab to open the dropdown puzzle list.
· Scroll to find and select the puzzle Tutorial 7, Fata Morgana with AUR.
·
Click on the load puzzle icon
to the right.
You will now see the Fata Morgana puzzle with no logic.
The tutorial will use the candidates marked 'X' and the highlighted cells.

Enter the AUR
Enter AUR (16)r35c46 and turn on AURs
· Rightclick digit 1 in r3c4, then select [Toggle AUR Corner].
· Rightclick digit 6 in r5c6, then select [Toggle AUR Corner].
· Select [Assume] / [CApply AURs] in the top menu to turn on AURs.
A light red square will mark AUR (16)r35c46.

Enter the Loop
Initial Setup
·
Click the [A] in the word
in the top toolbar to set auto fill
links on.
This allows the layers to be connected together as they are entered, which is sometimes faster.
Place cell truths in r5c4 and r5c6
· In cell r5c4, leftclick to select digit 1 then leftclick digit 3 or 6 to place the cell truth.
· Repeat the same in cell r5c6 to place another cell set..
· Clean up: Select [Execute] / [Clear Cell Highlights].
Blue cell truths appear in r5c4 and r5c6.
Multi-Place 6 column truths in columns c2, c5, and c8
· Press the Control Key while leftclicking all 6 candidates marked [X] in rows 5 and 6. (Don't click the X!)
· Rightclick on any selected candidate to open the candidate menu.
· Select [Add/Sub Multiple Truths] / [Columns].
Six green column truths appear columns c2, c5, and c8.
Multi-Place 2 row truths in row r3
· Press the Control Key while leftclicking the 2 candidates marked [X] in rows 3.
· Rightclick on any selected candidate to open the candidate menu.
· Select [Add/Sub Multiple Truths] / [Rows].
The two row truths connect to the AUR and produce six eliminations as shown below.
Clean up
· Select [Execute] / [Clear Candidate Marks].
