Settings Menu

 

The settings menu controls settings that apply to all puzzles and are saved when Xsudo closes. The styles menu controls settings for individual puzzles.

 

Puzzle Maker. Sub menu for puzzle maker settings.

Level 0 - Very Easy . Stop at or before level 0 difficulty.

Level 1 - Easy. Stop at or before level 0 difficulty.

Level 2 - Medium. Stop at or before level 0 difficulty.

Level 3 - Hard. Stop at or before level 0 difficulty.

Level 4 - Very Hard. Stop at or before level 0 difficulty.

Level 5 - Much Harder. Stop at or before level 0 difficulty.

Level 67 - Extreme. Stop in the 5 to 7 difficulty levels.

Level 89 - Beyond Extreme. Stop in the 7 to 9 difficulty levels.

Make Harder and Harder. Continue to make the puzzle more difficult until the green OK-hand icon is pressed

Make Symmetric Puzzles. Use various symetry options for making puzzles. (not very developed as of version 1.00).

Use Current Puzzle As Template. Use the current edit buffer clue possitions as a template.

 

Note: The difficulty level roughly relates to the number of truths required to solve the toughest part of the puzzle.

 

Set Grid Size. Set the size of the grid and image output in pixels. Applies to 2D and 3D grids.

Grid is 324 pizels. Grid size and image output size is 324 pixels (plus boarder).

Grid is 396 pizels. Grid size and image output size is 396 pixels (plus boarder).

Grid is 432 pizels. Grid size and image output size is 432 pixels (plus boarder).

Grid is 504 pizels. Grid size and image output size is 324 pixels (plus boarder).

 

Preferences. Sub menu for various settings.

Freeze on 3D Entry. Freeze and remember previous position when entering 3D mode. 3D mode is entered and exited using a double mouse click.

Show Links in Gray. Use a common gray color for all links instead of red/green/blue/tan.

Set Custom Grid Color. Select a custom color for the puzzle grid backgroud color.

Use Custom Grid Color. Use the custom color for the puzzle grid.

 

Don't Assign Solved Singles. Leave solved singles as a single candidate rather than promoting to an assigned clue.

Always Solve All Singles. Always solve the grid for naked/hidden singles.

 Warn on Errors. Gives graphical feedback upon assigning or deleting the wrong candidates.

 

Show Puzzle Solution. Show the current puzzle's solution in the right hand mini-grid.

Show Row/Column Axis. Show row axis and column axis outside of the grid in 2D mode.

Show Candidate Legend. Show the candidate color legend on the right. Explains the meaning of each color candidate.

 

Run the Visualizer. Show various graphical feedbacks during some search and analysis operations including making puzzles.

 

Default Nice Settings. Reset settings in this menu to default (nice) settings.
